Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 20770, dated September 27, 2021, the Legislature did authorize the leasing of fleet vehicles for use countywide from Enterprise Fleet Management of Merriam, KS; and,

WHEREAS, section 1131.2 of the Jackson County Code authorizes the Director of Finance and Purchasing to contract with the lessor of fleet vehicles for the sale of surplus County-owned vehicles; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the vehicles within the Prosecuting Attorney's Office listed on the attached declaration and transfer form be declared surplus and unusable and disposed of via sale by Enterprise pursuant to section 1131.2 of the Jackson County Code; and,

WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office has requested and the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that certain inoperable vehicles listed on the attached forms be declared surplus and disposed of pursuant to section 1141. of the Code; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County property further described and itemized in the attached declaration forms be and hereby is declared surplus, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized turn over said property to Enterprise Fleet Management for sale, as provided in section 1131.2 of the Jackson County Code, or disposed of by the Director via recycling, salvaging, or other means authorized by section 1141. of the Code.
































Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
