Body
WHEREAS, various County departments have vehicles that are no longer in use or are inoperable that need to be declared surplus in order to be sold or disposed of pursuant to Chapter 11, Jackson County Code, 1984; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 20770, dated September 27, 2021, the Legislature did authorize the leasing of fleet vehicles for use countywide from Enterprise Fleet Management of Merriam, KS; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 20079, dated January 20, 2019, the Legislature did authorize auction services of fleet vehicles for use countywide to Purple Wave of Manhattan, KS; and,

WHEREAS, section 1131.2 of the Jackson County Code authorizes the Director of Finance and Purchasing to contract with the lessor of fleet vehicles for the sale of surplus County-owned vehicles; and,



WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the vehicles within the Public Works and Parks + Rec Departments listed on the attached declaration and transfer form be declared surplus and unusable and disposed of via sale by Enterprise and auctioned by Purple Wave pursuant to section 1131.2 of the Jackson County Code, 1984; and,

WHEREAS, the Directors of Public Works and Parks + Rec have requested and the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that certain inoperable vehicles listed on the attached forms be declared surplus and disposed of pursuant to section 1141. of the Code; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County property further described and itemized in the attached declaration forms be and hereby is declared surplus, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be an...
