Body
WHEREAS, via Resolution 20923, dated April 18, 2022, the Legislature previously transferred $111,400.00 to provide for COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated Jackson County and 16th Circuit Court associates; and,
WHEREAS, via Ordinance 5575, dated November 29, 2021, the Legislature previously appropriated an additional $175,000.00 to provide for COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated Jackson County and 16th Circuit Court associates; and,
WHEREAS, weekly testing is paused during weeks when Jackson County is determined to have a low transmission rate according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to put funds in place required to pay for tests previously administered and to prepare to restart the weekly testing of unvaccinated Jackson County and 16th Circuit Court associates and Jackson County Detention Center inmates if Jackson County is determined to have a medium or high transmission rate according to the CDC; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:
