Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 31-18 for the furnishing of turf chemicals for use by the Parks + Rec Department to provide for departmental needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-eight notifications were distributed and six responses were received and evaluated; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest and best bid for each item; and,

WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in awards to the following:

Reinders, Inc.
Olathe, KS

Grass Pad, Inc.
Olathe, KS

and,



WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract with four twelve-month options to extend for the furnishing of Turf Chemicals for use by the Parks + Rec Department to Reinders, Inc. of Olathe, KS, and Grass Pad, Inc., of Olathe, KS, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 31-18 as the lowest and best bidders; now therefore,



BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
