WHEREAS, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office has a need to replace the current detainee transport vehicle being used by the Fugitive Apprehension Unit which is a 2004 model van; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office is requesting the purchase of a 2024 Ford Transit T-350 cargo van for use by the Fugitive Apprehension Unit to transport detainees; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract for the furnishing of a 2024 Ford Transit T-350 cargo van to Shawnee F LLC, of Shawnee KS, under the terms and conditions set forth in State of Missouri Contract No. CC231422005, an existing competitively bid government contract, at a cost to the County in the amount of $56,364.00; and,
WHEREAS, purchases under the identified fixed-price competitively bid government contract will be advantageous to the County due to the discounts offered to larger entities; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
