Body

 WHEREAS, via Resolution 20923, dated April 18, 2022, the Legislature previously transferred $111,400.00 to provide for COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated Jackson County and 16^th Circuit Court associates; and,

WHEREAS, via Ordinance 5575, dated November 29, 2021, the Legislature previously appropriated an additional $175,000.00 to provide for COVID-19 testing for unvaccinated Jackson County and 16^th Circuit Court associates; and,

WHEREAS, weekly testing is paused during weeks when Jackson County is determined to have a low transmission rate according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to put funds in place required to pay for tests previously administered and to prepare to restart the weekly testing of unvaccinated Jackson County and 16^th Circuit Court associates and Jackson County Detention Center inmates if Jackson County is determined to have a medium or high transmission rate according to the CDC; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be and hereby is made:
