A RESOLUTION transferring $10,000.00 within the 2021 Park Enterprise Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the Black Archives of Mid-America for the production of a documentary on the desegregation of golf courses in Jackson County, at a cost to the County not to exceed $10,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, a documentary film on the desegregation of golf courses in Jackson County proposed by the Black Archives of Mid-America will demonstrate the effect that discrimination in the game of golf had on the local African American community; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the Black Archives of Mid-America to assist with this project is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to fund this Cooperative Agreement; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2021 Park Enterprise Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the Black Archives of Mid-America to assist in the production of a documentary film on the desegregation of golf courses in Jackson County, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payments on the Agreement.
