Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Corrections has a requirement for inmate transportation and security services; and,

WHEREAS, a total of fourteen notifications were distributed and two proposals were received from the following; and,
BIDDERS

Homeland Security Protective Service
Kansas City (Clay County), MO

Vets Securing America
Gardena, CA

WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Directors of Corrections and Finance and Purchasing recommend the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract with one twelve-month option to extend, for the furnishing of transport and security services to Homeland Security Transport Services of Kansas City, MO under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No.25-21 as the lowest and best proposal received based on evaluation points and price; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases being subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Directors of Corrections and Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be, and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment ...
