Body
WHEREAS, there is a need for upgraded security systems county-wide; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Request for Proposal No. 42-20 for these products and services; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-nine notifications were distributed and three responses were received from the following:

BIDDERS

Kenton Brothers
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

TED Systems
Lenexa, KS

Johnson Controls
Lenexa, KS

and,


WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be awarded to Kenton Brothers of Kansas City, MO, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. 42-20, as the lowest and best bidder, as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; and,


WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate the County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases being subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that...
