Body
WHEREAS, the Department of Corrections has a need to replace an inoperable commercial trash compactor; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 12-20 for the furnishing and installation of a replacement trash compactor; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-five notifications were distributed and two responses were received and evaluated as follows:
VENDOR BID
Global Trash Solutions
Lake Park, FL $25,864.00
American Rental
Columbus, MS $31,269.00
and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of the contract for a replacement commercial trash compactor to Global Environmental Group d/b/a Global Trash Solutions of Lake Park, FL, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
