Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to a cooperative agreement with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, authorized under Ordinance 5206, dated March 11, 2019, concerning a tax foreclosure sale pilot project; and,

WHEREAS, the Director Finance and Purchasing has solicited written proposals on Request for Proposals No. 14-19 for title services to include title searches and the issuance of title commitments; and,

WHEREAS, a total of seven notifications were distributed and one response was received from the following:

BIDDER
Clear Title Nationwide, Inc., Overland Park, KS

and,


WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a six-month term and supply contract for title services to Clear Title Nationwide, Inc., of Overland Park, KS, as the lowest and best proposal received; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing and that the Director be and hereby is authorized to execute any and all documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
