Body

 WHEREAS, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to execute agreements with certain outside agencies engaged in anti-drug and anti-violent crime law enforcement, treatment, and/or prevention activities, requiring a local match to grant funds, for services from January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2019; and,

 

WHEREAS, proposals from the interested agencies were evaluated by outside reviewers who made funding recommendations to the Drug Commission; and,

 

WHEREAS, after review of the outside evaluators’ recommendations, the Jackson County Drug Commission has recommended that the County Executive be authorized to execute agreements with the following agencies engaged in anti-violent crime or anti-drug treatment and/or prevention activities, to provide local matches to various grants:

now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be, and hereby is, authorized to execute agreements with the identified outside agencies in the respective amounts indicated, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Finance and Purchasing be, and hereby is, authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
