Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office desires to purchase portable radios and accessories to replace aging equipment; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.4, Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing is required to submit to the Legislature for approval any purchase under an existing government contract which exceeds $25,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of a contract for the furnishing of said equipment to Motorola Solutions, Inc., of Schaumburg, IL, under the terms and conditions set forth in the State of Missouri Contract No. CO22, an existing government contract, at an actual cost to the County not to exceed $25,608.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award to Motorola Solutions under the existing government contract due to the higher volume discounts offered to larger entities; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is needed to place the funds necessary for this purchase in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers be made within the 2017 Special Road and Bridge Fund:
