ORDINANCE NO. 5028, September 25, 2017

INTRODUCED BY Alfred Jordan, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Human Resources has undertaken a thorough review of certain job classifications of the command staff within the Sheriff's Office; and,

WHEREAS, upon the completion of his evaluation and review, the Director has recommended a revision to the salary range for certain positions within the Sheriff's Office to better attract and retain talent within the department; and,

WHEREAS, the recommended revisions are in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, as follows:

Section A. Enacting Clause. Schedule VI to Chapter 2, Jackson County, 1984, is hereby repealed, and one new schedule enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Schedule VI, to read as follows:

POSITION SALARY

[Assistant to Sheriff] Major $[52,450 - 86,550] 89,000 - 101,000

Effective Date: This Ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage by the County Executive.
