WHEREAS, by Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 31-17, the Director of Finance and Purchasing did solicit proposals for the furnishing of high-speed internet service for use by the Information Technology Department; and,

WHEREAS, the Director distributed twenty-four notifications and received six responses thereon, one of which was rejected as non-responsive, with the remaining five responses as follows:

WHEREAS, the proposals submitted were evaluated on the basis of qualifications, experience, and pricing; and,

WHEREAS, following evaluation of the proposals, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended the award of a thirty-six month contract with two twelve-month options to extend for these services to Unite Private Networks of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County for 2017 not to exceed $13,612.00, with future years' funding subject to appropriation; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is needed to place the funds for this purchase in the proper spending account; now therefore,
