Body
WHEREAS, by Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 31-17, the Director of Finance and Purchasing did solicit proposals for the furnishing of high-speed internet service for use by the Information Technology Department; and,
WHEREAS, the Director distributed twenty-four notifications and received six responses thereon, one of which was rejected as non-responsive, with the remaining five responses as follows:

WHEREAS, the proposals submitted were evaluated on the basis of qualifications, experience, and pricing; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the proposals, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended the award of a thirty-six month contract with two twelve-month options to extend for these services to Unite Private Networks of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County for 2017 not to exceed $13,612.00, with future years’ funding subject to appropriation; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is needed to place the funds for this purchase in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2017 General Fund be and hereby is made:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and extensions thereto.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
