Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department desires to purchase four bush hog boom mowers to maintain County-owned property; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 75-16 for the furnishing of this equipment; and,

WHEREAS, a total of twenty-one notifications were distributed and six responses were received with the three lowest and best bidders evaluated as follows:
BIDDER COST
St. Joseph Tractor Inc.
St. Joseph, MO $20,872.50

Golden Valley Tractor
Clinton, MO $21,486.00

Murphy Tractor
Kansas City (Clay County), MO $22,301.00

and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be awarded to St. Joseph Tractor, Inc., of St. Joseph, MO, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 75-16, as the lowest and best bidder, as set forth in the attached recapitulation and analysis; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
