Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4805, dated November 30, 2015, the Legislature did award a contract to Cornerstone Detention Products of Madison, Alabama, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. 69-15; and,

WHEREAS, the Department of Corrections desires to renovate additional sliding cell doors not contemplated in RFP 69-15; and,

WHEREAS, Cornerstone has agreed to do this additional work at the same rate and conditions as specified in RFP 69-15; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends an Addendum to the contract with Cornerstone Detention Products, at an additional cost to the County in the amount of $848,780.64 for the renovation of additional cell doors within the detention center; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of this Addendum is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an Addendum to the contract with Cornerstone Detention Products, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and all addendum thereto.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
