Body

 WHEREAS, by Resolution 18403, dated February 17, 2014, the Legislature did authorize the execution of agreements with certain outside agencies which engage in anti-drug treatment activities and purposes through December 31, 2014; and,

 

WHEREAS, by Resolution 18746, dated March 2, 2015, the Legislature did authorize a six-month extension to the Agreement with Mattie Rhodes Center for its anti-drug treatment program; and,

 

WHEREAS, Mattie Rhodes Center has been unable to use its anti-drug treatment allocation from 2014 and has submitted a request for an additional extension through September 30, 2015; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Drug Commission recommends that the County Executive be authorized to execute a Second Addendum to the Agreement with the Mattie Rhodes Center, at no additional cost to the County; now therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an extension to the agreement with the Mattie Rhodes Center, until September 30, 2015, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreements.

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
