Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Invitation to Bid No. 12-15 for the furnishing of auto/truck parts from non-dealer sources for use by various County departments; and,
WHEREAS, a total of thirty-three notifications were distributed and two responses were received, one of which was deemed non-responsive; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be awarded to the following vendor as the lowest and best bid received pursuant to Invitation to Bid No. 12-15:

and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing to Factory Motor Parts of Lee's Summit, MO, for the upcoming twenty-four month period, with three twelve-month options to extend; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary, including future options to extend, to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract and extensions, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
