AN ORDINANCE appropriating $62,000.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the 2015 Federal Forfeiture Fund and $14,250.00 from the undesignated fund balance of the Sheriff's Revolving Fund and authorizing the purchase of five vehicles from the Missouri State Highway Patrol for use by the Sheriff's Office, at an actual cost to the County of $76,250.00, as an acquisition from another government.

Body
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office desires to purchase four 2012 Dodge Chargers and one 2010 Ford F-150 Pickup Truck to add to its fleet of emergency vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.2 Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends this purchase as an acquisition from another government, at an actual cost to the County of $76,250.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Office desires to use Federal Forfeiture Funds and the Sheriff's Revolving Fund to cover the costs of these vehicles; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place funds available in the Federal Forfeiture Fund and the Sheriff Revolving Fund in the proper spending accounts for these purchases; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriations from the undesignated fund balance of the 2015 Federal Forfeiture Fund and the 2015 Sheriff Revolving Fund be and hereby are made:
