RESOLUTION NO. 18036, November 27, 2012

Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office's No Violence Alliance Project (No VA), is a collaborative initiative between key law enforcement leaders in Kansas City, the regional administrator of probation and parole, and the U.S. Attorney's Office, to reduce violent crime in Kansas City's urban core through a mix of law enforcement and social service components; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office recommends an Agreement with Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission for the furnishing of a Chief Social Services Supervisor assigned to the No VA Project, at a cost to the County not to exceed $58,311.00; and,

WHEREAS, the Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission will provide the Chief Social Services Supervisor to oversee case managers who must ensure that persons identified for intervention are receiving the appropriate social services, including life skills, housing, job readiness, and drug abuse assistance; and,

WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place the necessary funds in the proper spending account; and,

WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2012 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund be and hereby is made:
