WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 4-12, for the furnishing of locksmith services for use county-wide; and,

WHEREAS, a total of ten solicitations were distributed and three bids were received as follows, with quotes listed for the most frequently used locksmith services:

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the award of twenty-four month term and supply contracts with three twelve-month options to extend to Kenton Brothers, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, and Greg's Lock & Key Service of Independence, MO, as the lowest and best bidders; and,

WHEREAS, a split award is requested to give the County flexibility and convenience to obtain needed items and services in either Independence or Kansas City locations; and,

WHEREAS, this award is made on an as-needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount, with the availability of funds for specific purchases being subject to annual appropriation; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing,...
