A RESOLUTION transferring $20,000.00 within the Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute a Cooperative Agreement with Connections to Success, Inc., of Kansas City, MO, for the Jackson County Constructing Futures Program, at a cost to the County not to exceed $20,000.00, to further the prevention of homelessness and the prevention of drug and drug-related offenses.

Body
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Constructing Futures Program is a unique public-private partnership designed to provide a structured pathway to allow former drug offenders to enter the construction industry, and at the same time provide permanent housing to those in need; and,
WHEREAS, the project will allow drug offenders and unskilled individuals living in poverty to learn the construction trade by rehabilitating houses that can then be occupied by a family struggling with homelessness; and,
WHEREAS, Connections to Success, Inc., of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, will serve as the manger for this program; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place funds in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer be made within the 2012 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund:
