Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited bids on Invitation to Bid No. 38-10 for the furnishing of plumbing services for use by the Parks and Recreation Department for the upcoming twenty-four month period, with two twelve-month options for extension; and,
WHEREAS, a total of forty-two (42) solicitations were distributed and three (3) responses were received from the following:
VENDORS
Rand Construction
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Lexington Plumbing
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
US Engineering
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends the contract be awarded to Rand Construction of Kansas City, MO, as the lowest and best bidder; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary, including future options to extend, to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using agency are contained in the annual County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
