Body
WHEREAS, the County has been awarded a grant in the amount of $703,546.00 for the 2009 Homelessness Prevention & Rapid Re-Housing Program Grant from the Missouri Department of Social Services, Family Support Division; and,
WHEREAS, this is a two year grant, commencing on October 1, 2009 and ending on September 30, 2011; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used to provide services to individuals or families who are homeless; and,
WHEREAS, the Housing Resource Commission recommends acceptance of the grant; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of the 2009 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
