Body
WHEREAS, the Legislature, County Executive, and the Kansas City and Jackson County Election Boards have recognized a need for the conducting of performance audits of the boards' activities and process; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends a contract with MGT of America, Inc., of Sacramento, CA, for these audits; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the necessary funds in the proper spending account; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of the 2008 General Fund be and hereby is made:

and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that a contract be awarded to MGT of America, Inc., of Sacramento, CA, at a cost to the County not to exceed $89,570.00, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of this award; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
