Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 32-06 for the furnishing of crushed rock for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments for the upcoming twenty-four month period, with annual options to extend up to an additional thirty-six months; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty notifications were distributed and two responses received from the following:
BIDDERS
Barber & Sons Aggregates
Lee's Summit, MO
Damon Pursell Construction Co.
Liberty, MO
and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the lowest bidder on each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to both bidders; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award and any necessary extensions; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contracts and subsequent extensions, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.
