A RESOLUTION awarding a six-year lease on Request for Proposal No. 7-06 for office space for the Prosecuting Attorney's Family Support Division, to K.C. Partners of Kansas City, MO, at a cost to the County not to exceed $303,500.00 for the first year of the lease with annual incremental increases for each year thereafter.

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written proposals on RFP No. 7-06 for the furnishing of office space, for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office's Family Support Division; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty-three solicitations were distributed and three responses were received and the Family Support Division identified the best proposal and negotiated a six- year lease with annual incremental increases subject to annual appropriations; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing recommends award to K.C. Partners of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that they have submitted the best overall bid, as indicated in the attached memorandum; and,
WHEREAS, the attached lease agreement adequately sets forth the rights and obligations of the parties with regard to this matter; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is hereby authorized to enter into the attached lease agreement with K.C. Partners; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is hereby authorized to make all payments, subject to annual appropriations.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
