Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.4 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase of safety vests for use by the Road & Bridge Division of the Public Works Department from Lohmann & Rauscher, Inc. of Topeka, KS, under Contract No. 14280, an existing government contract of the State of South Dakota; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase under the existing State of South Dakota government contract be made to Lohmann & Rauscher, Inc. of Topeka, KS, in an estimated amount not to exceed $7,000.00 as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
