Body
WHEREAS, currently there is an emergency issue on a Jackson County property which consists of a vacant Jackson County Health Department building located at 313 S Liberty St in Independence, MO; and,

WHEREAS, because the building is vacant there has been significant property damage to the structure due to vandalism, creating a need for demolition to be necessary for the health and safety of Jackson County residents; and,

WHEREAS, additionally there are is a need to replace failed two road culverts located on portions of Jim Owens and Cummings Road in unincorporated Jackson County which recently washed away, as a result these roads are closed until repairs are made; and,

WHEREAS Jackson County has current term and supply vendors able to complete both emergency projects; and,


WHEREAS, a transfer is needed to place the funds necessary to cover these costs in the proper spending account; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2024 General Fund be and hereby is made:
