Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance 3420, dated September 22, 2003, when adopted, will authorize the issuance of not to exceed $26,000,000 in Public Building Corporation Leasehold Revenue Bonds for the County's Series 2003 Capital Improvement Project; and,
WHEREAS, the Project will involve both building improvements and road construction, as well as other components; and,
WHEREAS, it is appropriate that the Legislature establish goals for participation in this Project by minority-owned business enterprises (MBE's) and women-owned business enterprises (WBE's); now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby establishes goals for MBE/WBE participation in all the construction components of the Capital Improvement Project funded by the Public Building Corporation's Series 2003 Leasehold Revenue Bonds as follows:
Component Goal
Building Improvements and Construction 20%
Road Improvements and Construction 12%
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
