A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a cooperative agreement with the Mid-America Regional Council for its base operating expenses to provide a variety of services to the citizens of Jackson County and to the County itself, at a cost to the County not to exceed $62,610.00.

WHEREAS, the County and MARC desire to enter into a cooperative agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein, whereby the County will provide $62,610.00 to MARC to be used to meet MARC's base operating expenses so that said agency can provide a variety of services to the citizens of Jackson County, other governmental entities within Jackson County, and to the County itself; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
