Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 13326, dated August 28, 2000, the Legislature did approve the award of a contract for the furnishing of computer hardware and software for use by various County departments to G. E. Capital of St. Louis, MO, under an existing government contract of the state of Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, due to a miscommunication among County departments, that resolution did not adequately describe the particular equipment actually required, which is specialized tax collection hardware and software for the Collection Department; and,

WHEREAS, County staff has now discovered that this equipment is no longer available from G. E. Capital as its state contract has expired; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing now recommends that Resolution 13326 be rescinded and that a contract for a portion of this equipment be awarded under §1040.4 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, to Worldwide Technology, Inc., of St. Louis, MO, in the actual amount of $11,081.56, under an existing government contract of the state of Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, the Director further recommends that a contract for the remainder of this equipment be awarded under §1040.1 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, to Winchester Systems of Barington, MA, in the actual amount of $29,204.00, as a sole source purchase, for the reason that Winchester Syst...
