Body
WHEREAS, the Hickman Mills C-1 School District desires to develop a Trauma Informed Care training program in connection with Truman Medical Center to address the increasing emotional and mental health needs of students within its district; and,
WHEREAS, this program will provide training for school district staff to help students learn to self-regulate to be more successful in school and at home; and,
WHEREAS, Trauma Informed Care is an approach to engaging people with histories of trauma that recognizes the presence and role that trauma has played in their lives to assist them in finding a path to healing and wellness; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of a Cooperative Agreement with the Hickman Mills C-1 School District for implementation of this program is in the best interests of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the Hickman Mills C-1 School District in the amount of $12,000.00, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
