Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. BB200379 for the furnishing of office furniture for use county-wide to provide for county-wide needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only two bids thereon bids from the following:

Corporate Express 57%
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
Phoenix Office 55%
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Corporate Express of Kansas City, MO for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
