Body
WHEREAS, for over 30 years, Dorothy A. Stroud has been an active member and leader of the Sheraton Estates Neighborhood Association; and,
WHEREAS, Dorothy has dedicated her time and energy to the enhancement of the community as a board member of the Kansas City Neighborhood Alliance, Swope Community Builders, Mid-Southeast Community United, Brush Creek Community Partners, Family Resource Center, Infrastructure Community Committee, and FOCUS Kansas City; and,
WHEREAS, Dorothy formerly served as the president of the Thousand Dollar Club of St. Stephen Church and as a member of the NAACP Board of Directors; and,
WHEREAS, Dorothy is deserving of recognition as a civic and community leader who has shown extraordinary dedication to improving the life of citizens of our community by lending her knowledge and experience to a multitude of community service organizations; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature extends sincere appreciation to Dorothy A. Stroud and wishes her success and enjoyment in all of her future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
