Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 3-01 for the furnishing of HVAC parts for use by the Facilities Management Department; and,
WHEREAS, he received no bids from this solicitation; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director thereupon undertook negotiations for this commodity with the County's current vendor, Charles D. Jones Co. of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director now recommends that award be made to Charles D. Jones Co. of Kansas City, MO, for the reason that it has agreed to contract terms which the Purchasing Director deems satisfactory; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
