Body
WHEREAS, the County and National Baptist Convention U.S.A., Inc., desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereunder the County will pay $10,000.00 to the convention, to be used for partial funding of its 2003 annual delegate convention in Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, the County funding will specifically be used to design and provide a convention program and brochure which will highlight and publicize the attractions of the Kansas City/Jackson County area to the convention's 35,000 plus delegates; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
