A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a contract with Black Archives of Mid-America, for partial funding of African American History Month and the Juneteenth Commemoration, at a cost to the County not to exceed $15,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the County and Black Archives of Mid-America, desire to enter into an agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, whereunder the County will pay $15,000.00 to Black Archives of Mid-America, to be used to help fund African American History Month and the Juneteenth Commemoration; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
