Body
WHEREAS, the County and the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) desire to enter into a Cooperative Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, whereunder the County will pay MARC $25,000.00 to provide a variety of senior adult programs; and,
WHEREAS, under the Agreement, MARC is authorized to subcontract with the Minute Circle Friendly House in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00 to fund Minute Circle's recreational and health activities for older citizens; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is authorized to execute the Agreement on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
