Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 17-01 for towing service for use by various County departments to provide for county-wide needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has received as the only three bids thereon, bids from the following:
BIDDERS
Kruse Service
Oak Grove, MO
Midwest Tow Service
Kansas City, KS
Recovery Tow, Inc.
Kansas City (Jackson County), MO
and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Kruse Service of Oak Grove, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid as set forth in the attached analysis; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
