Body
WHEREAS, the County and the Cities of Raytown, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, and Grandview desire to continue to provide consolidated property tax billing and reciprocal collection services by having the County bill and collect City taxes and by having the cities continue to collect taxes billed by the County and perform other taxpayer assistance services; and,
WHEREAS, Consolidated Tax and Collection Agreements to be approved by the County Counselor will provide suitable mechanisms for these arrangements; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute Consolidated Tax Billing and Collection Agreements with the Cities of Raytown, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, and Grandview, Missouri, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
