Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14938, dated March 8, 2004, the Legislature did award a contract for geographic information systems (GIS) software, including ArcGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, Online Viewer, Online Creator, and other ArcGIS licenses for use by the Information Technology Department to Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc., (ESRI) of Redlands, CA, at an actual cost to the County in the amount of $145,000.00; and,
WHERAS, the County has annually contracted since that time with ESRI for annual maintenance of its proprietary GIS software, as a sole source; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 1030.1 of the Jackson County Code, the Director of Finance and Purchasing again recommends a contract with ESRI of Redlands, CA, as a sole source purchase, based upon ESRI's status as the sole provider of maintenance for its own proprietary GIS software; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the contract be awarded as recommended by the Director of Finance and Purchasing, and that the Director be, and hereby is, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment, on the contract.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
