Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 14803, dated November 24, 2003, the County did enter into a term and supply contract with Corporate Express of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, for the furnishing of office furniture for use by various County departments, at an estimated cost to the County of $235,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended an increase to this contract in the amount of $198,996.17, revising the estimated total annual amount to $433,996.17, to cover purchases for the County's new Technology Center; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the increase to the contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the increase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
