Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 12423, dated November 10, 1998, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an Agreement with the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) to partially fund the expenses of the 1999 King Birthday Celebration, in an amount not to exceed $20,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the County now desires to provide SCLC with additional funding in the amount of $30,000.00 to assist in its programs honoring Dr. King, including the 1999 Birthday Celebration and other programs throughout the remainder of 1999; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the attached Addendum to Agreement is hereby approved and that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the Addendum on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and the Addendum thereto...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
