Body
WHEREAS, the County has a continuing need for broker and consulting services for the County's employee group health, life, and dental insurances; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing issued Request for Proposals No. 24-024 in response to that need; and,

WHEREAS, a total of forty-eight notifications were distributed and four proposals were received from the following:

Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

Twin Lakes
Lee's Summit, MO

Garry & Associates
North Kansas City, MO

ABID Talent, LLC
Alpharetta, GA


and,

WHEREAS, a committee of County staff members reviewed and evaluated all of these proposals; and,

WHEREAS, the evaluation committee recommended the award of a contract to CBIZ Benefits of Kansas City, MO; and,

WHEREAS, Resolution 21575, dated March 25, 2024, which would have awarded a contract to CBIZ Benefits of Kansas City, MO, was not adopted by the County Legislature; and,

WHEREAS, in view of the Legislature's previous action on Resolution 21575, pursuant to section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, the evaluation committee and Director of Human Resources now recommend the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract[, with two twelve-month options to extend,] for the furnishing of broker and consulting services to CBIZ Benefits of Kansas City (Jackson County), MO, under the terms and conditions of Request for Proposals No. 24-024, as the lowest and best remaining proposal based on evaluation points and price; and,
