Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12603, dated March 22, 1999, a term-and-supply contract with Computer Expo, Inc., of Houston, TX, for the furnishing of personal computers to provide for county-wide needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase this contract in the amount of $50,000.00 and to extend its terms to December 31, 1999, because a delay in updating specifications has made it impossible to re-bid this contract; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended the increase to this contract; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the increase to the term-and-supply contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the increase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
