A RESOLUTION authorizing the County Executive to execute a lease with the Senior Citizens' Craft Shop Committee for space in the Courthouse on the Square in Independence.

Body
WHEREAS, the County has previously leased space in the Courthouse on the Square in Independence to the Senior Citizens' Craft Shop Committee; and,
WHEREAS, the current lease will expire on December 31, 1999; and,
WHEREAS, the parties are now desirous of entering into a new one-year lease to be effective January 1, 2000, upon the same terms as were contained in the previous lease; and,
WHEREAS, the attached lease adequately incorporates these terms; and,
WHEREAS, the proposed lease is in the best interests of the health, welfare, and safety of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached lease with the Senior Citizens' Craft Shop Committee...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
