A RESOLUTION transferring $8,327.00 within the 2003 Assessment Fund and $47,485.00 within the 2003 General Fund, and awarding a twelve-month term and supply contract for Sun Microsystems servers and accessories for use by various departments to World Wide Technology of St. Louis, Missouri, under a State of Kansas government contract, at an estimated cost to the County of $200,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of a twelve-month term and supply contract for Sun Microsystems servers and accessories for use by various departments to World Wide Technology, Inc., of St. Louis, MO, at an estimated cost to the County of $200,000.00, under an existing government contract of the State of Kansas; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such award in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the award to the County Legislature for approval; and,
WHEREAS, transfers are necessary in order to fund this expenditure; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive has recommended said transfers; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfers be and hereby are made:
